S!gnals is a platform for (group) exhibitions. Monica Croese is the linchpin of this platform. She creates high-profile
exhibitions that spark conversation, make you think, move, excite and prod. She invites artists, performers, dancers and musicians to participate. Feel free to contact her for questions, proposals, or maybe you know of a nice exhibition space. Monica is open to and curious about inspiring input. Also if you want to become a thoughtful, organizing member of S!gnals, she looks forward to your response.
For WEIB! Monica creates exhibitions that deal with the fate of mankind, from the perspective of the female experience. WEIB! sense human existence on the basis of its nature and driven by the subconscious. The fate of man is a common theme in all areas of the visual arts. In 1933, André Malraux wrote the book La condition humaine; The human deficit. The title has taken on a life of its own. In the novel, la condition humaine means that man does not accept his fate and wants to be god. Malraux sums it up as follows: China has opium as an antidote, Islam has hashish, and the West has woman.

March 2017 saw the first exhibition of Weib! in VM23 in Arnhem. An exhibition with only female artists who reflected their vision of women. Monica had to fight for the title of this exhibition; Weib! Without prefix, with exclamation mark. In the end, this title turned out to be a bull's eye, powerful and strong. Writer Stella Bergsma gave the opening speech and the music was provided by Wove. The well-attended exhibition left Monica wanting more, and possible themes for new exhibitions haunted her mind, a number of which have already been realized. What turns out to be powerful and strong you have to use. And Monica already had new ideas for exhibitions.
